George M. Steinbrenner Field

It's disappointing.

I think if people take a step back and realize that one year ago this team was playing at a minor league park at Steinbrenner Field.

The roof was off the building at Tropicana.

There was real doubt whether the team was even going to remain in the Tampa Bay area.

Last time the Brewers played a game here at the Trop was 2023.

Remember, they came here last year, but they had to play at Steinbrenner Field.

And the last starting pitcher for the Brewers was Freddy Peralta here at the Trop.

So that's a little interesting nugget.

They're going to build this new stadium.

We are at The Trop, ladies and gentlemen.

Interestingly enough, there was obviously a bit more... interest around the starting um precursor to the actual game itself murph had actually set up the ball machine and it was aiming balls at the roof in the trop i know that it's coming to play um the roof being closed stadiums across the playoffs as well we've seen a couple of balls ding off there as well which was a cause for concern for us on the pod earlier on Thoughts on the roof color, though, being the same as the ball? I mean, surely the trop, for those that aren't aware of this, went through a huge hurricane.

This is the reason why I was saying George M. Steinbrenner Field, where the Tampa Bay Rays had to actually play last year because they were fixing the roof on here.

Is it a bit of a gaffe to actually just then repaint it that same baseball white color? Surely there's a better color from a pickup perspective to play on.
