You put Hillary in the Secretary of State's position, but then you immediately appointed...

I forget who it was, but you had an appointment to Marshall, right? not Marshall, Mitchell, George Mitchell, appointed him his emissary to the Middle East to handle the Israeli Palestinians.

Well, how'd that work out? That didn't work out very well.

And I thought, why would you appoint somebody to be the Secretary of State and then immediately take the part of the world where the Secretary of State has traditionally been most involved, at least in the previous 30, 40 years, and put that on somebody else's plate.

An audience willing to look away when the questions become revolting.

And George Mitchell should have faced the same relentless scrutiny over Virginia's allegations and I'm disgusted by how easily his name slips out of conversation supposedly devoted to Epstein accountability.

Virginia identified him among the men she was directed to have sex with while under Epstein and Maxwell's control.

Now Mitchell, he denied the allegation and says he never met her.

How fucking obscene that his reputation can command such careful handling while her accusation struggles to command sustained attention.

His years in public service do not purchase the right to have Virginia's name whispered around his.

Look, I spoke with Virginia directly about George Mitchell years ago, which makes the recurring treatment of this subject particularly infuriating.

I'm not approaching her accusation as some amusing discovery in a document dump or another name to throw into the partisan argument.

And I think, unfortunately, if you want Congress to do stuff with the president, I think the base will be extremely, the Democratic base will be extremely reluctant to to let Schumer and Jeffries do anything with the president, even if the president extends an arm and hand and says, let's do an immigration bill and I'll give you 50% of what you want.

I just think the pressure is going to be on to focus on 2028 and to be like George Mitchell was.

So I'm not very bullish.

Even if the president goes all the way and says, I'll give you 70% of what you want in an immigration bill, I still think it's going to be tough.

Virginia Roberts named, by name, several very powerful people.

And one of those very powerful people was George Mitchell.

Now George Mitchell, for those of you who might not remember, was a mover and shaker in politics for a very, very long time.

He played a very big part in bringing the troubles over in Ireland and England to a halt as far as an American representative over there acting in that capacity.

And he was somebody who has been, you know, a top figure in American politics for a very, very long time.

Now, let's remember, Virginia Roberts named him by name.

Nobody just pulled this name out of the sky.

Nobody showed up one day and said, ah, George Mitchell, that sounds like the guy.

Uh, Tom Daschle was not a showman.

George, George Mitchell was in my mind the toughest leader we had to face with 'cause he was so good in debate.

Hmm.

He, he had to ...

All the local politicians, all of your favorite elected officials, they all knew.

Did any of them stop it? What about Bill Richardson? How about George Mitchell? He step up and stop it at all? No? What about Bill Clinton? No? Huh.

Interesting.

And you know what's absolutely disgusting? All the people that are out here still fawning over Bill Clinton.

Answer, but all of the people you just read, it seems to me, should have been ahead of me being subpoenaed, then me, but that's okay, I'm here, and I want to keep plowing forward.

Question, do you know George Mitchell? Answer, I of course knew George Mitchell.

Question, okay, obviously, he also had to resign in disgrace.

That was the purpose of the people that were trying to get your association with.
