George Hewett

Ooh.

I put George Hewett in.

Hewett?

Yeah.

Yeah.

I think, and you know I'm your biggest fan, I, I think the addition to the HBF white- your HBF whiteboard for George Hewett, that's a worstie for me.

George Hewett was getting 30 a week and got dropped.

Yeah, but no one ever looked to tr- trade for him, and Carlton never looked to trade him.

It was a mistake by Jarrod Roughhead.

You just- if you draft a good person who's gonna work hard, normally you'll get repaid.

Um- Just on the Carlton names, should we kind of roll through a few of them? So George Hewett, one.

Adam Cerra, two Mitch McGovern, you would argue 50/50 if he's in, in their best team or not.

Ben Ainsworth, Blake Akers, similar to McGovern, I think unsure.

The second one.

Have we heard any more about the George Hewett trade?

George Hewett?

He was, he was speaking to Adelaide or something.

I haven't heard that at all.

Another one on Carlton.

Uh, just quickly, is George Hewett still on your whiteboard, and are there any rumors about him returning to SA?

He still is on the whiteboard, the HBF Dream Team whiteboard.

I haven't heard much around him.

Mm.

I just wonder whether when the Crows missed out on Bailey whether they would've looked for a George Hewett, but I think it feels like to me if they're going the Crows, they need really high-end and maybe someone a bit more dynamic-

Yeah

... because they've got Berry, Dawson that are similar sort of insider mids compared to a, like a Hewett.

We, we...

You know, look at this year with George Hewett.

Jack Viney's getting booted out of-

Yeah

So Hayward, Florent, Ainsworth, six, seven, eight.

Tied fourth, Harry Dean, George Hewett on 99 votes Another, you know, Dean Ainsworth, Florent Hayward, all recent acquisitions.

George fourth, despite being dropped earlier in the year.

Third, no surprise, Jagger Smith, 116 votes.

Mm.

Some talk around George Hewett, you know, perhaps, but I think they've missed out on Bailey.

I think they'll probably wait now and go all in next year on Naz or another high profile, but I think it's gotta be hard for them, Hooky, now.

The, the work...

Do they need someone else? Do they need a midfielder? Now, let me propose a, a name to you that's been bubbling around a little bit.

There has been some consideration around George Hewett, who's a South Australian, of course.

There's been some consideration around Jack Bowes.

At this stage, their priority is to get more game time into Dan Curtin as a midfielder, to Sid Draper-

Do they need another experienced body into that midfield mix?

I think they do.

Um, I'll stay away from the George Hewett, um, one [laughs]

[laughs]
