George Harrison: Living in the Material World

He was 66 years old, died of a heart attack, cardiac arrest.

And, um, it's strange because I was just watching a documentary a few nights ago with my wife on Netflix, uh, called Living in the Material World, and it was a, a documentary about the life of George Harrison directed by Martin Scorsese.

And so you may remember that, uh, Tom Petty was in a band called The Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison and, uh, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, Roy Orbison.

And Roy was a bit older than the other guys, and so they recorded an album together, and then Roy died.

Of course, I didn't get any of that when I was a kid who wanted to grow my hair out and wear makeup like them, but I do recommend that film.

Scorsese, of course, is someone who's made some other really good music documentaries: George Harrison Living in the Material World, the Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Revue back in 2019.

In 2005, No Direction Home tie it back to Dylan and the Band and The Last Waltz.

In No Direction Home, that's where you can see the footage of the guy yelling "Judas," that infamous Manchester show with the Band, then known as The Hawks, backing up Dylan.

Yeah, it's really good.

It's George Harrison living in the material world.

Oh, yeah.
