George Costello

So if you've ever contemplated the undeniable connection between the works of Henri Rousseau and the god-monster of Indian flats, well, there you have it.

Godmonster has further ties to the films of Russ Meyer thanks to the production manager George Costello, a brief cameo from Vixen herself, Erica Gavin, and the legendary Stuart Lancaster as Mayor Charles Silverdale.

Cantankerous, joyously horny, and eternally elderly, Lancaster was the grandson of Charles Ringling of the Ringling brothers.

He was involved in theater in Cleveland before spending his inheritance renovating a shuttered movie palace in Sarasota, Florida, turning it into the Palm Tree Playhouse in the early 50s.
