Geometry Dash

I'm curious.

So when did you originally start to get into top play in Geometry Dash, though?

Again, I'd have to, like, point back to Creepy Dash for that, and I'll explain a lot.

Because I think the first level that I properly sat down for and wanted to really beat was, like, this old level theory of Skrillex.

Like, you would understand that you guys, most of the time, going to see these parts differently like a lot of people people are going to play these levels and they're going to you know they're going to find this part super easy this part's super hard because it's all based on skill sets but it seemed like doggy recently with grief obviously um dr cuber he would pass i think it's dr cuber if i'm wrong someone correct me i know you will you're gonna timestamp this call me a dumbass just i i thanks but um it's dr cuber he passed it every time you know the little you know spam part um that goes up and down yeah that part he was like the most consistent motherfucker like he would never die there now zoink trick and doobs and everyone like that is just getting bent the fuck over by it and it's like you know it's such a perspective kind of thing of like everyone is get tunnel vision by that kind of stuff It's

tunnel vision and verifying a lot like the level ends up being built around your skill set and your skills that then ends up developing around the level and it just kind of becomes this weird loop.

And but like a big difference that we have today compared to back then is that right now it is so much more common to actually apply like Because it's really funny because I went to game design university and I've been seeing all of the things I've been learning there slowly be applied more to Geometry Dash, like naturally, which is really interesting because now I'm seeing a lot more like global playtesting happening.

Like there's like 10 to 20 people playtesting a level to make sure that like It is actually properly balanced, and it's not just based around someone's skill set.

This is awesome.

We got the girl chicken Mcgawddy and a pumpkin with some new roblox faces I actually don't know the name of these like what smiley girl face, whatever Fire The number one horror story just ends with Geometry Dash.

Easy.

That wasn't Brain Rot at all.

This is actually my younger son, Titus, and his YouTube channel, GamerMonkeyVR, where he really focuses on playthroughs of difficult levels of Geometry Dash.

He also does some Beat Saber stuff.

His skill level has really been growing.

So I am Septagon7, also known as Volumni.

Most people know me as a pro player in Geometry Dash.

I verified Old Orochi.

I was the founder of the Impossible Levels list, and I've created many Old Impossible Levels myself, including levels like Subzooming Vortex.

If I remember correctly, I got the full version of the game from the late version, like, in 1.8. And essentially what got me into it was really, like, seeing random kids playing it at school, that kind of stuff.

I was like, oh, that looks fun.

Eventually I did become that, like... um skilled geometry dash player at school that other players would be like show me their phone like hey beat this level for me

bro i love that that's such a cool memory for everyone i feel like bro like yeah oh my gosh pretty damn cool so wait did you find it just because like other people showed you it

Um, but yes, that's, that's the plan of it.

And it was actually inspired by watching, um, my son play Geometry Dash, which is-

... has an absurd commun- like, just the sheer size of it, of everyone sharing their own levels and all that kind of stuff.

Lego game.

Uh, on the PC/mobile is Geometry Dash.

on that's a pretty cool thing um okay interesting so oh big question everyone's asked why'd you end up quitting geometry dash originally

I think why I originally quit it, I think I have a video, maybe it's privated now, but there was a video made six years ago around early 2020, where I was just kind of talking about like, I just didn't have much new content to make on it at the time, like the game hadn't been updated in so long, too.

So it did feel really repetitive.

I have a whole section for that.

I'm going to ask you a bunch of stuff about that.

But back to Geometry Dash again.

What are your thoughts on the Geometry Dash creations now versus back in your era, such as like TCD, all the newer content creators that you see nowadays?
