You know, it's like he Jeff Darrow.

jeff darrow is amazing and he is so detailed at geekscapers you might know him because he was doing concept work for the matrix in the matrix with all this you know all the different uh machines and circuitry and stuff like that like that's how detailed art like jeff darrow's actual artwork is so he's got this shaolin cowboy going on right now where it's this you know this kind of shaolin guy and he's flipping around doing ninja stuff and but it's a post-apocalyptic and he yeah he's a cowboy.

he fights kaiju and stuff like that.

I love his book because he'll draw the every freaking scale on a lizard in the background of a desert you know it's like really detailed stuff.

The artist on this is Chris Burnham, who I don't know anything about.

He's absolutely channeling a Jeff Darrow style in this.

Which he should not be doing because you cannot help but think

of Hard Boiled when you're reading this.

Um, so there's stuff going on.

There's something to sustain the art.

You know, you, I don't think Jeff Darrow would have, um, You know, Jeff Dyer has been inspired by what Frank Miller's writing to create these incredibly complex environments in Hard Boiled and this over-the-top...

And it was the folks below Bob.

Our executive at the time was this guy, Lorenzo de Bonaventure.

I remember Lorenzo very well.

He's still around.

And we got to explore all of the things that were percolating deep in our subconscious.

And so because we've imagined Dino as this like old Italian patriarch, we kind of hemmed and hawed around what the story was.

And so we're like, well, there's this, you know, there's this woman and she's with this guy who's a mobster.

And then there's this other person and she's also a woman.

Yeah, him and

Jeff Darrow.

Yep.

Yeah, on the art on that, it looks like it ties in really well with that style of storytelling Ian Herring on that one.

But in my like, developmental years, I never really looked at his art.

And the same with Jeff Darrow.

So I, like, for me, if you were to ask me, you know, who are your biggest influences when you were like, when I was developing my approach in my formative art years, it would be Mobius, uh, Travis Sherriff and David Finch actually.

Um,
