Genève-Cornavin railway station

It's this massive cross-border commuter train network that started a few years back.

It connects Geneva Airport and Geneva's central station, Cornavin, directly to both Cluses and Thonon-les-Bains.

So if you've flown into Geneva but want to avoid the highway traffic on a busy Saturday, you can literally hop on the train right at the airport and roll down to the valley floor.

It's highly frequent, very reliable, and incredibly cheap But, and there is always a but when we talk about Alpine logistics, arriving at Cluses or Thonon station is only half the battle.
