Geneva International Motor Show

So I just kept doing what I was doing, and I think I probably struggled to get any kind of real influence within the industry for, let's say, three years.

So you said that you and I met at 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

I'll tell you what that was like for me.

That was my first ever Geneva Motor Show.

I would go up to the Bugatti stunt and ask if I could film the Bugatti, and they said, "No." I went up to a Ferrari stunt and I said, "Can I please film, film this Ferrari?" "No." They knew what, who I was and what I was doing, and they didn't like it because they just thought I was an idiot.

You know, "What is she doing? She doesn't talk about cars properly.

Let me introduce you to a subcompact SUV.

The Toyota C-HR is a compact crossover SUV that was originally introduced to the Geneva Motor Show in 2016 with production starting in November of that same year.

Development of the car began in 2013 with the 2018 to 2020 model year North American spec C-HR imported from Turkey.

The C-HR is related to the Corolla Cross, Corolla Sedan, Prius, and Prius Prime hybrids.

No, it was an option, but you, you could have roof lockers.

And the, the, the reason behind it was apparently 'cause Bob Lutz had asked for them to keep his cigars in when he was being driven to the Geneva Motor Show.

Uh, it is, I mean, oh, it, you can, it's, it's a, it's a, it's just a concept car, uh, designed by Pininfarina, and it was unveiled at the 1968 Geneva Motor Show.

Uh, it is, there's, so there's strakes in the side of it that are, you can see where the later '80s Testarossa strakes came from.

Yes, indeed.

It was designed to go over 205 miles an hour.

Mm-hmm.

250 miles an hour, uh, shown at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, with a Wankel engine in it.

Well, anyway, when the news came out, people would say, oh, you only went around in one direction and it doesn't really count and blah, blah, blah.

And then, so maybe a couple of years later, I was at the Geneva Motor Show.

And I got to know the guy that was the CEO of Bugatti.

So when we beat them, his name was Wolfgang Durkheimer.

And he's like, it's good for their brand to have competition.

And anyway, it was really cool.

But I saw him a couple of years later at... at the geneva motor show we're just chit-chatting and he had to go to a press conference or something and he'd and as he walked away he looked over his shoulder he says hey john make sure next time you go out and run that you run two directions kind of just call it

But I know they made a big production.

We went to some lightweighting tech day once at Senegata and then drove up to Geneva and did the Geneva Motor Show.

And when we were down there, it was all...
