General Flagg

Baroness asks for survival mode drop-off, transportation, and all the files on Colonel Hawk.

Later, Hawk, AKA Zartan in disguise, visits General Flagg at Shadow Watch headquarters.

Flagg is not happy about the situation with the Night Force GI Joe civil war.

Hawk explains that it was necessary since they had to bring Baroness in.

He shows Flag a recording of the Baroness interrogating Crystal Ball.

So I enjoyed kind of – after all the action in the last issue, you have like the calm before everything just goes to hell in the next two issues.

So I liked it.

I liked that they're starting to figure out some things going on with Hawk and – I am just – I'm hoping that Flagg also kind of knows something is up even though we haven't really interacted with him a lot in this book.

So it's hard to kind of gauge what the actual truth is at the moment, and they're keeping it ambiguous on purpose.

Anyway, it appears as though Flagg takes the bait from Colonel Hawk.

I have a feeling Flagg knows exactly what's going on.

I have a feeling Flagg knows that that is not Colonel Hawk and that he just showed him a doctored AI version of events.

I have a feeling that's the case.

He doesn't show that he's clocking that this is an issue, but I just have that feeling the flag knows exactly what the situation is.

And Colonel Hawk says, MCC, sir? And he says, stands for Mobile Command Center.

It's an experimental field command structure.

It's, it's crazy out there.

Uh, so she asked for all the files on General Hawk, which of course prompts us to a scene with General Hawk, who is approaching General Flag.

I'm sorry, Colonel Hawk.

Uh, Colonel Hawk, who's approaching General Flag to basically make the proposition he thought of last issue, that there was a group of the Joe team that couldn't be trusted.

And I love these kinds of surprises because they, in this conversation... 'Cause, uh, Zartan's belief is that General Flag has a stash of Energon hidden somewhere, and Zartan wants it, and his way is to suggest that somebody's going after it so he can get access to it.

And when he said I don't wanna get out of order.
