Gemma Stevens

She's an Olympian, a world championship team gold medalist, a five-star winner, and a seriously handy show jumper.

And as of a few weeks ago, the 2026 Olympics, defender burley champion uh she did it with chilly night or alfie as we know him uh a horse she has known since he was born finishing on her dressage score and winning by a whopping 13.4 penalties and then she went on jumped uh jumped a and won a meter 40 show jumping class at ixted because apparently one discipline isn't enough uh she can do it all watch out dressage folks because she might come for you next So fresh from what I think I can safely say is the biggest win of her career, Gemma Stevens, bloody welcome to the Shut Up and Ride podcast again.

Wow, that was quite an introduction.

Thanks, I've been practising.

She was then winning.

And it's like, oh yeah, now it's going to be in 20 years time.

Oh yeah, Gemma Stevens won a couple of times.

That would be cool.

Willa Newton also has a 6RA sub 30.

Brandon Schaefer-Garau, Gemma Stevens, Chilly Morning, Kitty Kings, Crystal Fontaine, Sarah Bullimore-Nakota, who's very fast cross-country.

Lisa Goltieri, Adonis, and then Lara Delida-Kakamaya, call me Senorita.

So they're your sort of horses that are sub 30 in the first phase.

No, to be fair, my podium was going pretty much in the same direction as Ali's.

So I'm going to mix things up slightly.

I actually think Gemma Stevens, Cooley Park News will win.

I'm going to say that Christoph Wohler...

So with Kylie Roddy, we're also doing the dance.

And we got Gemma Stevens to come and do a TikTok as

well.

Just one burly.

Yeah, agree.

Gemma Stevens, Chili Jester was very good.

Jumped a lovely double clear.

Just time penalties dropped them down the order.

Yeah.

And we have to give a massive shout-out to obviously Gemma Stevens, who has been a previous guest on our pod.

And on the pod she was talking about her bucket list, and obviously that was to win Burghley, and couple of months later...

I mean, how long ago was she in, in the seat I'm sitting in? Couple of months ago max.

Yeah.

Gemma Stevens, Chili Jester.

She has five top fives in the Blenheim four long.

No one in this field has more top fives than Gemma Stevens.

She is an absolute machine, uh, because she's just obliterated Burley, but also she's...

God, what a season she's having, you know? I know, forget the whole, the whole-

It's a lovely little insight found by Braydon Lissington, um, when he was putting some, the venting manager insights together.

So The Highlander is the best of the returning eight-year-olds coming into this class.

I just find this stuff really interesting.

And I just love the fact that Gemma Stevens came out on top from start to finish.

Like that is just, like if you're going to, like look, to win a five star, I'm sure is spectacular at any of them.

And however you may do it.
