So can you tell, talk a little bit about the process of getting to know those women and, and how it ended up?

up?Yeah, it was a really beautiful thing actually.

And unusual that none of us actually had any, you know, we'd, we'd never intersected, you know?

Yeah, everybody's different.

Um, uh, yeah, I s- someone sent me a tweet that said the casting of the show was like five gay men all picked-

So why was it so important for you to tell this story?

I read the script, and I met the director, Beth Davidowicz.

I just knew she was the real deal, and there was just so much truth in every page of the script, and I thought what she was attempting to do was really brave, had never been done in that way before, and I just thought, "I'm with her.

If, if this is what she wants to do, I'm, I'm completely, I wanna help her bring this story to life." It's such a personal story for her.

And yeah, it, it took a while to get made.

It, it, you know, we were, we were gonna shoot at the beginning of the pandemic, and then it kind of fell apart, and then she went away and did her first film, which is called Soft and Quiet.

It's brilliant if, if you haven't seen it.

And do you think that these synths in the show, do you think they have rights?

Well, that's a very interesting question and that's a question that is explored in the show, I would say.

I think the show very much, in terms of all of these things, it doesn't dictate what the answers are.

It's very much about just opening up the debate and opening up those conversations and I think There are lots of them.

I would say for me, on a personal level, and I think everyone as a viewer will probably get something slightly different, but I found it really interesting that you can see a lot of parallels in the show between the show and between real life in terms of how we treat certain people in our society as less than human.

And that was really interesting to me.

Is that going to be explored more in the series? And also, what was it like to work with him as

well? The relationship between Leo and Anissa is definitely something that you will find out more about as you find out about Anissa's history over the course of the show.
