So, like, the pushback that I gave to Tom Henderson and, you know, and Kotaku was, like, I was told that this represented the total cost of the studio between the two Tempol games.

But it also included, like, co-dev on, you know, Gears Pop and Gears Tactics and a bunch of other Gears-y kind of projects, and also Unreal Engine projects at Microsoft.

That's kind of, like, how I was told it.

But, like, what I kind of feel like is... know like tom henderson and kataku's like ballpark figure seems seems to be accurate in that context you

Like, okay, they helped on Avowed.

They helped on Gears Pop, which doesn't exist anymore.

They coded on Gears Tactics.

Was that game even successful? I don't think so.

the mid-gen exactly refresh yes did not have a killer first party game they had a killer game outside of that they had plenty of third-party support But they didn't have their own big game to go with that to say this is going to take advantage of the Xbox One X.

And the series consoles launched with Gears Tactics.

And you're like, bro, come on.

That cannot be your game.

But yeah, Gears is Xbox's best franchise, in my opinion.

Because there's a tactics game as well, isn't there? It's a Gears Tactics game.

No, I want to say it was like a similar time as like Halo Wars when that came out.

And I played a lot more like Halo Wars and I never really got into Gears tactics.

It's just, I think say strategy and like tactical games are kind of like hit or miss where sometimes I'm in the mood to play them.

But what I am is three or four that I'll go play and I kind of just keep it to the ones that I know.

The thing that I like that what they did is in the spaces, Normally, it's, you know, it's the your goal, my goal, enemy.

You got a set amount of attribute points that you use.

That's how turn-based tactics generally go.

Gears Tactics was pretty much like, yeah, we've got some semblance of that.

It's the first game I finished on the Xbox Series X console because that winter I was finally playing Mafia 3.

I was playing it like 50 hours, like doing everything in the world, buying all the collectibles, waiting to like wrap on the last missions, Series X launches, and we're waiting for games because I think there's like Gears Tactics and...

I think we were waiting for Valhalla to come out.

And so I finished Mafia 3 on the Series X.
