Gears of War 4

So I'm like, do you really need another game like showcasing like a lot of their backstory, even though you got like comics, you got books, you got audio books, you got Yeah, like even some of the spinoffs or so that even tell the lore.

You even got Gears of War 4 and 5 that also talks about some of their backgrounds.

So it's just like, do you really need...

could give you a quick five minute rundown of Gears 4 and 5 he's still

loving Gears 4 and 5 oh yeah

they've done an excellent job with the xbox series x updates it's probably nothing new if you've been back to these but i haven't oh yeah that gorgeous yeah unbelievable players silky smooth i love the game feel of it gears has always been my my uh franchise anyway like a lot of people have halo i had gears so i could just play that and get into that kind of like zone but yeah gears 5 and the way it just blows things out i do love the scale of it i love the variety and the locations like snowy areas with like snowstorms, this lovely place that I'm in now, this desert that just looks gorgeous.

I'm really enjoying the story and the mystery this time around.

PlayStation, you'll play everything on it.

And then three years later, not on November 7th, which is a shame, they've ruined that, we got Gears of War 4.

Ah, Gears of 4.

Should have called it Gears of 4.

Because while the last game, you know, especially when it comes to the opinions of a lot of old heads... might not be real Gears of War or what people want in Gears of War.

I think a better, more cohesive story is told through Gears 4 and 5 and then unfortunately abandoned afterwards than what we get in Gears E-Day.

Gears E-Day is a visual treat.

It is a tonal treat.

I remember thinking when I went through pretty much the whole first act and then a little bit of that first open zone of how much I missed Gears gameplay.

Obviously, we've had Gears 5 and Gears 4, but something about putting you back behind markers.

You've got the sound bites, you've got the nice and all that kind of stuff.

I do think that ultimately that they lean on that a little bit too much.

That was another thing that I just was like, man, I love this.

I love when Gears is in the pocket.

I genuinely didn't feel in that pocket for Gears 4 and 5.

I just didn't for whatever reason.

They just overhauled the graphics, added in a few more mechanics, and redid the cutscenes to better do the visual storytelling.

And that came out, and I think it was 2015, 2016, right one year before Gears 4 came out.

And then they took that, and they just re-released it again with no updates at all, gave it to people who had the original version for free, and then released it on PlayStation 5.

Oh, nice.
