Gear acquisition syndrome

And I was like, okay, guilty.

So this is called gear acquisition syndrome.

And it started as a term used by musicians who constantly felt the need to buy new instruments and equipments to like hone their craft.

But the same behavior can show up across heaps of hobbies.

when you do the hobby or you do the thing, you can probably end up realizing... half the shit

you thought you needed to buy you probably actually don't need literally

like you can kind of fall down the rabbit hole of like and also the researching part of it comes into this like gear acquisition syndrome like i don't know about you but i feel like i also get gassed when i'm like i'm gonna get a new hair care routine i don't know i'm just plugging something out of my butt But like and then you go down the rabbit hole of researching all the best ones and saving all the products and like all the things that you're putting into a spreadsheet.

No one probably shops like that.
