Chris McCarthyGUEST

We met in karting.
Chris McCarthyGUEST
3:56
And yeah, he does a fantastic job with GB3, so I was really glad he was given the opportunity.
Chris McCarthyGUEST
4:01
Great fun to work with as well, I think.
Chris McCarthyGUEST
4:03
That said, another important thing, you've got to make it enjoyable to watch.
PeterHOST
58:39
It's a shame for Slater, I thought.
PeterHOST
58:40
I mean, he totally dominated Freca last year and did well in GB3 any time he took part in it, so he was clearly the best driver at that level.
PeterHOST
58:51
Yeah.
PeterHOST
58:52
And I think it took him a few races to warm up in F3 and...
Sean KennedyHOST
10:37
She's incredible.
Sean KennedyHOST
10:37
She won the championship, dominated it, went to GB3, got her run in GB3, is getting podiums and wins in GB3 with no support whatsoever.
Sean KennedyHOST
10:45
None at all.
Sean KennedyHOST
10:45
She's completely disconnected from Formula 1 now.
Katie SavageHOST

Alex Powell will be stepping up to Formula 3 with Prema Racing for the final two rounds of the 2026 season in Monza and Madrid.
Timo Albers-DalyHOST
14:08
You've got Ferreira from F1 Academy in Italian F4 at the moment.
Timo Albers-DalyHOST
14:11
You've got Abby in GB3, who should be in an F3 already.
Timo Albers-DalyHOST
14:16
You've got Marker running around saying this hasn't been going because of the same thing.
Timo Albers-DalyHOST
14:22
F3 seats, gone.
Katie SavageHOST
23:06
So in terms of future, we won't talk about 2027 specifically, but thinking about progressing at the feeder series ladder, is there a particular formula regional series that you'd love to drive in?
Chiara BättigGUEST
23:16
I mean, to be honest, looking at steps up after F4, there is Freca, Eurocup and GB3.
Chiara BättigGUEST
23:23
Looking at the people who are now competitive in F3 and F2 have raced in Freca.
Chiara BättigGUEST
23:28
And I think it is really... really good series just from the level um chibi 3 also has a really good calendar as we've seen um enduro cup as well i mean they're racing on so many good tracks um but really looking kind of at how competitive it is and which people have raced in infra account where they are now it looks very competitive

British driver, the oldest on our list,
Katie SavageHOST
6:30
competing in the second season of Formula Regional Series GB3.
Katie SavageHOST
6:34
He's undeniably quick.
Katie SavageHOST
6:35
He finished third in GB3 last year, but he's having a slightly unlucky 2026 season.
Katie SavageHOST
6:40
Thomas, can you tell us about Deegan's career so far in this current campaign?
Thomas GrovesHOST
6:43
As you mentioned, he's done kind of the traditional British route, I feel like.
Thomas GrovesHOST
6:48
He did British F4 and he won that.
Thomas GrovesHOST
6:50
And now he's moved up to GB3, which is admittedly quite a unique championship in the way that they run their car.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
44:43
AC will be popular.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
44:44
rFactor 2 might be used, although the team I work for, uh, last year I did the models, Rodin, they do Formula 4, 3, uh, and 2, and GB3.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
44:54
They came from, uh, rFactor 2 actually, uh, but they couldn't get it to tweak, tweak it and feel right.
Niels HeusinkveldGUEST
45:02
So, they had to tell the drivers to drive realistically, because if they drove like the game wants them to, uh, they would be quicker in the sim, but that would not be the style they needed.
AlexHOST
56:40
Didn't even last more than a year.
JackHOST
56:42
Abby Poling is in GB3, which...
JackHOST
56:49
Also, some of these drivers, it's still...
JackHOST
56:53
Even if the cars are similar, even if it's F4-level equipment, i'm sorry but the talent still isn't necessarily the same like there is still an adjustment period for them going from f1 academy f4 level machinery to other f4 series f4 level machinery in some cases and with them only being guaranteed a year of funding they don't necessarily have the time to adjust adapt overcome in the way that other drivers may be afforded a second year um for having just kind of moved up, you know?
AlexHOST
57:42
She did win a race.
AlexHOST
57:43
It was the first ever woman to win a F4 race, or, yeah, F4 race, British F4 race.
AlexHOST
57:50
And then, 2005, she was in GB3, finished 10th, With a podium.
AlexHOST
57:56
And then this year, she won a race in GB3, which she was also the first woman to
VyasHOST
36:53
He won British F4 back in 2023, as far as I remember correctly.
VyasHOST
37:01
And then he won GB3 in 2024.
VyasHOST
37:02
So he got a lot of points there.
VyasHOST
37:04
He made it to F3 last year.

11 MINS LATER

VyasHOST
47:49
It's not much of a marker, but then who knows? She's also done really well in British F4.
VyasHOST
47:55
She's done.
VyasHOST
47:55
She could be stepping up to GB3 next year.
VyasHOST
47:58
She wins it.
