And I think that is kind of when the show is at its most genius and the battles are not as much what I enjoy about it.

I agree Ulf and Gwaine are really the big hits of the season for me.

It's all true.

First at the end of season two, and then again the episode before.

And then it's supposed to be like this big surprise when he tells Gwaine, oh yeah, I'm marching to my death.

And then he dies in the beginning of episode six in an event from the books that is supposed to be a pretty crazy event.

Like the Butcher's Ball is supposed to be like an insane event where the Northmen basically like completely ambush him and brutally murder him, you know, and his death pretty much happens the same way that it does in the book.

Well, it just

shows you, like, he's making fun of Sir Gawain.

But Sir Gawain's the one that's been out on the campaign killing dudes, seeing war, doing the man shit.

And still being an okay person.

And then it just starts turning into just absolute chaos because...

Um, first we get, uh, we get Darren and Gwaine who are pretty convinced that this is a losing play by Orman.

So they take Corliss out of their prison and basically run up the white flag and, and go out to try and negotiate and say like, Hey, we'll give you this guy back and, you know, Hey, maybe there's a way for us to divide the kingdom up into different parts.

And we do something that's, you know, not so killing everybody all at once.

And then this story hits the inevitable brick wall that every one of these seasons and fights always ends up with, which is that Damon is a bloodthirsty maniac and is like, I think I'd rather kill everybody.

And so he basically sends Gwaine and Darren packing.

And then it basically turns into full on war.

He, you know, gives the order, you know, hey, you guys go around the back.
