Gaviões da Fiel

Something that got the Dudes in Test right away was running away from other people's styles, so really trying to find what's their own sound.

And this includes influences from various sides, like Thiago Baratta started playing with the fanfare band of the samba school of Gaviões da Fiel.

Did I get that right? So that infused them with sort of a very organic samba or Brazilian music influence in the percussion department.

and but still within their style so and he really they thrive on having people say well you guys don't sound like anything else and you don't record like anyone else too and joe mentioned that out of traveling and being exposed to artists of different styles because they're always playing either festivals or lineups that have other types of bands they're in merely being near these other bands, whatever the style, sort of informs them in a level of like, well, how can we bring that to the test world without mimicking them? So it's not about learning what pedals people use or what are the pedal settings.
