These guys, cryptoids ran an amazing campaign.

Uh, part of which was just cool incentive figures that keep unlocking as you go.

So we came up with an additional idea.

There's the Starroid, or I'm sorry, Planetoid Raiders, which is our core line.

When our campaign launches, all eight are available.

How much fun did you guys have coming up with at least the first wave of eight characters, action figures?

Yeah.

Totally.

And back then, if you got one, you'd probably be pretty disappointed.

Flash forward, you know, decades, and they're really rare and especially to find in good shape.

And the company that made them is long since extinct Tomlin toys, you know, who famously made the steroid Raiders.

Um, and doc and I being big nerds and collectors, we just, we got really excited about their aesthetic and their vibe.

And we didn't want to make repros.

Who do you think is going to be buying? Is it just strictly collectors, or could it be for kids, actual kids to play with?

Yeah, I think these are more collectible, and I think that the kids that...

You know what is interesting to me about these figures and the way we're really seeing Planetoy Raiders is they walk a weird line between super nostalgic... and a new art toy.

They really feel in some ways more like art toys, like a vinyl figure or a sofubi or like a blind box toy you'd get from a Japanese company.

So our approach in the packaging and in how we're approaching the line is like, you know, one of the elements of the cake we're baking is nostalgia.

And like our first eight figures are very faithful characters.

in color and style to the originals from the late 70s, early 80s.
