Gavin Henson

And they thought I was going to come in to try and manipulate them.

And that's why I remember the thing about the Gavin Henson photograph.

So when we got back from New Zealand after the 3-0 whitewash, We come off the plane and there were a load of media there and it suddenly dawned on me they were there for me because of this story that somebody put in the press about me manipulating Gavin Henson to have his picture taken alongside Clyde when he was dropped.

Now it's true.

that Clive had said to me, I want to get the message out that just because I'm dropping him doesn't mean he's finished.

Yeah, if it's four tries, absolutely, I would take it.

If it is as it was on the day, three tries, one of which by David Tuaesi, two by Nathan Bonner-Evans, Rugby 04 Hero, one of them converted by Gavin Henson, and then three penalties by Henson.

If it was that on the day, probably not.

Maybe it was all penalties, but four tries and coming out absolutely over the moon.

centres Matthew Braley and Dave Tuetti

good player and then

There's quite an onus on the coach to be careful with the player.

You know, I've worked with Melinda Welsh, you know, and obviously then once Gavin Henson on the field for every single game,

our

key player and stuff like that, you know, going into that, english premiership from the championship do we have the squad depth no we didn't so you drop off number 10 you know luckily they did have some squad depth you know at alex davis who's now gone over to the wru as kicking coach you know there was score depth but but you know there's that pressure to play your marquee player and play him every single game uh because of what he can do and you know that that's that's that's really hard that's and and you're going to get players like that in every squad at every level you know coaches you know are Like I said, I had a coach call me last night.
