Well, many businesses on the downtown east side and neighboring communities like Chinatown and Gastown are hoping the Vancouver Police Training Academy will help lessen the street disorder in those neighborhoods.

The center officially opened today in the Woodwards building on the downtown east side.

And as Catherine Urquhart reports, it will be used to train new VPD recruits.

And I guess the reason, one of the reasons I knew it was so special was I also was connected to the medical faculty at UBC at my time on in-person at Regent.

And sometimes my medical faculty colleagues would say, You know, like Celia said, like after six weeks being in Vancouver, we were at a bar in Gastown and people came up to Anthony and I and started talking to us because we'd already met them and we knew them already.

And my friend who's been from the faculty who'd been in Vancouver 18 months, she's like, you've been here six weeks.

And then the customer, of course, would feed off that energy end up leaving the store, really having this unique retail theater experience, and then go home and replicate it, which created a virality to it.

Well, I mean, if someone hasn't been in a David's Tea, there used to be one by our office in Gastown.

And you'd go in there.

There's a couple of things with it that I found really interesting.

That Corvette was amazing.

Okay, I legit thought the Corvette was an actual photo he had taken like of it in Gastown or something like just on the street corner like this is a really cool car and everything and take the shot.

I didn't realize he had actually drawn that like that is that is absolutely insane.
