Gaston County

Yes.

Gastonia County.

Yes.

[laughs]

Gastonia County is more affordable, so land, legacy land-

Mm

... more affordable.

And then Florida High faces Rutherford, who Rutherford got their win yesterday by way of forfeit.

Gaston County, I don't know why they forfeited, but they did.

That's a 3A District 2 semifinal.

Obviously the winner of that game, which no offense to Rutherford, will likely be Florida High, just based on what I've seen from schedules and volleyball action, will face the winner of Bozeman and North Bayhaven.

Obviously, that's a tough task over there at Leon.

And as I mentioned, the Rams are moving on.

Rutherford advanced after Gaston County forfeited and now faces Florida High for a spot in Thursday's district championship.

Bozeman and North Bay Haven meet in the other semifinal at 6 p.m. Central time this evening.

I'm Adam Godin.

Allison Tomas is the program manager here in North Carolina and helped set up a behind-the-scenes tour last month at Gaston County's Board of Elections office as part of Team Democracy's Principles for Trusted Elections initiative.

Allison talked with us about the tour itself, as well as Team Democracy's broader goals of restoring widespread trust in our election system.

So we're here with Allison Tomas, who is the program manager, program lead for Team Democracy here in North Carolina.

Yeah.

To me, it's really interesting because I think for people that are willing to take that next step and not just kind of read things and then repost online, but people that are willing to dig in a little bit, there's probably some things that surprise them.

And one of the things I think for me is that Gaston County, it's a quarter of a million people.

We've only got a handful of people that work full-time on elections.

Just wash my hair.

October 21st, All Queens Men final season starts in Gaston County.

$78,000 emergency fund was approved because the sheriff can't make payroll.

And that's it.

I'm Adam Gob.

Today on the show, we've got Adrien Sanders with us, who helps run the Gaston County Recovery Court.

She won a specialty award as part of the Gaston County Employee Awards that were held earlier this year.

She's gonna be talking to us a little bit about that award, but more so about the work of the Recovery Court and how it's helping change lives of residents here in Gaston County.

Stay tuned.

How many people have closed in Gaston County? All right.

They're getting them.

I'm mailing them to my farm, mailing them to my farm, like dropping them off at a local business.
