I knew that bit as well that obviously is not in our production but so I knew of the Growl Tiger stuff and I think what's really nice about it is that one it gives Gary Wilmot some more stage time because he's Min he's an absolute West End legend so it's nice for obviously him to play kind of those two characters because they're the same guy but that kind of bit I think is really lovely for him to do and he's amazing at it and I think what's really nice is that it really kind of tells the story of the character of Gus and why he sings that bit at the end where he's like these modern productions and all this bit and it's so heartfelt and And it almost feels like it's his kind of last hurrah.

You know, he's defo a ninth life cat, let's be honest.

And I think it's really, it almost feels like it's him doing it again.

Did your life change then? All of a sudden it's like that was your career?

Yeah, I was doing a double act then, Gary Wilmot and Judy, and we were both doing impressions and we really impressed the judges.

Our agent, a man called Alan Clive, was an impressionist himself and he really drilled us, he really did make us go over the act, over and over and over the three minutes, wanted it to be sharp.

I like her name, though.

I haven't met Wilmot, although I was a big fan of Wilmot.

I remember once he did a fantastic show, uh, a sketch with, uh, what was that character that Steve Coogan did?

Uh, it was very good.

How is Gary Wilmot as Gus?

Yeah, so this is fun.

I don't think he appears until the second half because obviously, as I said, each song is about a different character and his character is sort of an older character.

I didn't even know Gary Wilmot was in this production because I didn't do any research before I went to see it because I just wanted to take it at face value and because I know the show inside out.

And when I'm looking at it, in his case, actually, the makeup was really strong.

So on the older characters, I thought the makeup was really strong and the wigs and they looked more like what I was expecting from the original production.
