So they're looked after by Davey Matchett and Third Bar and Gary Lightbody, which isn't a bad connection to have.

But the boys have done it all off their own back and they're just... really really kind and so they signed a major label deal we talked about chalk you know chalk are kind of an entity of their own now they're a behemoth of of music now and and they deserve everything that comes their way again two of the loveliest guys that you could hope to meet um you know even like you know who have i saw recently do mad things i i personally think as well Anybody who can release any sort of music at all, be it a single, be it a demo, be it something that you've done with your mate in school, writing a song, I consider that an accomplishment.

I consider that an achievement.

So the songs kind of reflect that sonically as well, I think.

Yeah, I understand Gary Lightbody has called you genre defying, so that probably works with you.

And you've also described your own music as grumpy electro pops.

You're defining your own genres.

I think that it's such, it makes me feel proud as a writer because I've always, I've written songs before I was even performing them.

So it's a very personal thing to me and to have somebody like that praising something that I've written is a really special thing and really encouraging.

And I think Gary Lightbody and Snow Patrol themselves and their whole team are just incredible at encouraging other artists and small artists.

And I felt very, very lucky to have been on his radar.
