the faces and the voices of this sport, right? I mean, Lefty, Dave Whitlock, Mel Krieger, you know, Joan and Lee Wolf, Gary LaFontaine, you know, the list goes on and on.

These people weren't simply great anglers, right? They were teachers, storytellers, personalities, innovators, ambassadors.

I mean, they kind of did it all.

Fish, I do believe that fish are selective, but it's not, again, going back to my fish are dumb as rocks, it's not a conscious decision they're making.

Gary LaFontaine, in his book Catastrophe, summed it up brilliantly.

And he basically said, fish will eat the largest food item in the greatest abundance that's easiest for them to get.

And that is what makes them selective.
