Gary Johnson

It's just what I do.

And conversely, if you're, you know, the dudes that you were hanging out with, That's like it would never cross their mind like, oh, I could vote for Jill Stein or I could vote for Gary Johnson or, you know what I mean? It's like, no, this is just what we do.

It's like, well, the military is

not good.

You're running alongside Don Kisik in hopes of taking the governorship and lieutenant, lieutenant governorship for the Libertarian Party of Ohio.

And that's a level of public office that, as far as I can tell, no libertarian has ever won unless we count Gary Johnson being governor of New Mexico when he was a Republican.

So what do you think your chances are? And what's, you know, some would argue is a fixed race.

We're being, you know, one of the major parties is everything.

And so, you know, some of us are purists, others are more pragmatic.

You know, unfortunately, in an election, you're voting for a package and one person, right? So not everything in that package is necessarily something you love.

You're going to look at somebody maybe like Gary Johnson, who ran for president in the past, and say, well, he's not really a strict Libertarian, is he? And so, you know, in one sense, that imperfection of democracy is actually what drives us to become libertarians.

You sort of go, well, I don't want to vote for a package that I don't like.

In all honesty, putting a National Guard major as Secretary of the— Secretary of Defense is not the smartest thing to do.

We had that same problem in New Mexico years ago when Gary Johnson put his college roommate, Randy Horn, as Adjutant General.

Horn was also a major in the National Guard.

Suddenly he's a two-star general.
