Gary Holt

Serious super metal stars in the community.

Gary Holt, Rick Hono, the original guitar player in Exodus, Chuck Billy, Tom Hunting, Exodus drummer.

Uh, who else? It, Andy's going to be there.

Death angel drummer.

I mean, I look at tribalists before it and it's very much like that Phrygian kind of sound.

Uh, that's a Gary Holt fucking riff at the beginning of that thing.

If I've ever heard one, um, for a band to release something like this 31 years into their career.

And it's just like, Oh, everything on here is just lean.

Um, but, uh, if you don't clean it up, right.

Yeah, Gary Holt, now of Slayer, had a, I don't know if he's still playing it or not, but he's got a Schecter V that is blood splattered.

So visually, go there, and you're with us.

Yep, for sure.

best friend, so we'll go there.

Weir bought me a cameo once, and it was Gary Holt of Slayer.

And he got on there, and I have this joke with the old lead singer of the band I used to play with.

His name is Carlson.

My name is Jason Ziolo.

So Zarlson is the name of our fake band we are always making jokes about.

And Gary Holt got on here and just talked about how excited he was for the new Zarlson Ruins.

And it was absolutely perfect and hilarious.

But i- if that's the case, you're a poser and you should consider being honest." I don't agree 100% with that, but particularly towards the end.

And I try to think of my own, you know, okay, my, my favorite guitarists are Alex Skolnick and Gary Holt.

And, you know, God forbid- W- uh, I know Alex is pretty left-leaning, but you know, uh, Gar- let's say Gary Holt comes out as a N- Nazi sym- sympathizer or something like that.

He, he's actually-

And-

Gary Holt is kind of left.

Is he?

Kind of.

The group and Hill mutually shared his retirement announcement, where the musician admitted struggling for some time with evil arthritis that made it increasingly difficult to continue.

Gary Holt from Exodus and Slayer is saying, "Thank you for the years you've given to all of us." Frank Bello from Anthrax saying, "Happy retirement, Ian.

You've been showing us all the way to do it, and we've loved and respected every minute of it.

Congratulations on an amazing career.

I've talked to many people about it.

Gary Holt, Brian Slago, anybody involved on that? It is one of the greatest, uh, pieces of thrash metal history.

Now the venom set was not recorded at studio 54.

And I forgot why, uh, Slagle said why, and I can't remember why, but, uh, I'll figure it out and look it up again.

So getting out there and performing and selling T-shirts, patches, koozies, whatever.

Basically, I think it might have been Gary Holt that said, we've all been reduced to traveling T-shirt sales reps.

That was him.

I remember him saying that.
