Tenzel is astonished because the United Planets outlawed superpowers to fight crime ever since the Great Disaster, unquote.

But that doesn't stop Garth Ranz from using his lightning powers to fight crime on Wyneth.

His sister Aayla chides him for wanting to be a superhero like their older brother Mekt, and for believing that Superboy was even real.

And it just felt like they were kind of

bringing back... like that that older like three boot just feels like original boot but a little little spicier like it's not like they like their haircuts are really like 70s 80s like style like looking a lot of time like sunboy and lightning lad like literally look like they walked out of a 70s yeah the way their hair is the

one except the one exception is phantom girls wearing bell bottoms well Element Land looks very 2000 new metal like Sugar Oh yeah he's got a

little soul patch yeah so there's certain things like that I didn't really like I feel like they took Lightlass and like stripped her of her character that she would she's kind of an empty shell in this there's certain things like that that really bothered me like for instance Projectra in Princess Projectra in that comic is like a giant snake alien with like little metal arms.

to for the for the viewers and our readers and our listeners, we were going to do a mini episode about our legion teams for this uh episode and and we didn't because alex claimed that he wouldn't have been able to put together a legion of superheroes team i only know

you know you know like 17 of them just from reading this run what are you talking about anyway go ahead love of live wire lightning lad go ahead

yeah but so we'll we'll get there in a second but basically this issue is because until now it's been a lot of kind of setting up this new world vignettes about life in the legion on earth that kind of stuff this issue reintroduces lightning lad saturn girl some ogs and kind of brings the main narrative back into focus which is you know they're on the edge of space because someone is being attacked

There's no one that's a slavish imitation of Saturn Girl or Lightning Lad or Colossal Boy or, God help us, Bouncing Boy.

So, you know, they're all original characters in science fictional situations.

No, I was gonna say, that totally makes a lot more sense than as to why the, this, this feels completely different than the other book with the actual Justice League in it la- later on that we're gonna talk about.

They are, they are kind of a new idea.

Time travel and everything else.

They're from the 30th century, and essentially they decide to go back and meet their hero, and then invite him to come to the future and hang out with them and have adventures and join their club, right? So the three leading Legionnaires, the, the original three that form the, the group, are actually Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy.

If I sound like I, I'm authoritative on this, I flippin' love the Legion of Super-Heroes.
