Garrett Wilson

I mean, that's absolutely what happened.

And, you know, Garrett Wilson got a game misconduct relatedly.

Frustration.

In that game.

Michael Bunting, eight games, no goals.

York, TK, Hunter McDonald, Carl Grundstrom, Jacob Gauthier, Jack Studnicka, Garrett Wilson, LJ Grons.

None of these guys have scored a single goal.

More than half of the skaters they have iced this season have not scored a goal through 15 games.

But unfortunately, I don't have any good quality centers here.

But yeah, you know, it's unfortunate that it had to come, you know, seven, eight, nine games into the season before they were like, hey, let's try our good players before, you know, putting Garrett Wilson in the lineup for some reason.

It's

just crazy.

That was like our preseason conversation that we had.

And I think the problem that the Flyers are running into is, is twofold number one nolachari is a problem right and so when you have a guy like tippet or like connect me come back sure you can plug one of them into that spot where he currently is they're going to want to move achari back down I guess bump gets the boot here, but to your point, they still have Garrett Wilson on the roster.

As of this recording, it's very possible that, you know, on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning, you know, we'll, we'll see those transactions take place.

Right.

And I think, you know, right now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, man.

Like this is one of those situations.

Yeah, I do think obviously, well, maybe not obviously to the Flyers, but obviously to me, you want Garrett Wilson sent back down to the Phantoms because you don't need him taking up a roster spot.

He is the best guy to sit in the press box for the Flyers.

But I think it's reasonable to suspect that they are thinking at least one of their injured guys is going to be back for Saturday's game, which is good.

And it was really tough for me with Garrett Wilson because, like, I've covered him.

I've interviewed him.

I've talked to so many of the young guys that are now establishing themselves as NHL players.

Could it make sense to have him as a luxury 14th forward where he's an extra coach, basically?

I could see a world where after everything shakes itself out and you have an understanding of what your roster and lineup looks like when everyone's healthy, that maybe you bring him back once you've got a handle on how everything sets up.

But to me, like... your 14th forward when everything shakes out very well might be Michael Bunting, you know? And that was, I was just about to be like, I don't think he's an amazing player, but I think he's a significantly better NHL player than Garrett Wilson.

And he'll probably score a few goals at some point, something I don't expect out of, out of Garrett Wilson.
