Usually not.

Well, it kind of depends on here where it's we don't have air conditioning because, you know, Garrett County, we don't really need it.

But if it's hot out, the catalyst, which is what we use to heat up the resin to cure it, can go off quicker.

So then the dry time is less.

I, I, I kinda look at this and I'm like, "Well, you've got Bardstown, you've got Green River." I mean, the list can go on, Whiskey House, I mean, of people that have excess capacity that they're willing to sell.

And so to kinda bring another one on that's gonna be dedicated to this once again, I mean, we already saw what happened to Garrett County, and that didn't end well.

So, and that was a quick one.

That was, that was a flash in the pan, so we'll see.

Frankfurt is number one in AA.

They're coming off a bye, and they're going to host Garrett Maryland.

Right.

It's a rival game.

Well, you know, they're buying everything.

You know, they bought the distillery in Garrett County that's been vacant, never opened.

Now they're buying vodka.

So what this shows you is, you know, the diversification that's going on in the industry from ready-made drinks to buying other type of spirits.

well let's get into that western maryland that's something you know i mean maryland is very you know we think of baltimore we think of dc we think of that area generally a lot of people do what what's where in western maryland

So like Garrett County, it's the panhandle of Maryland.

So it's when people think of Western Maryland, they still don't think far enough West.

So it's basically West Virginia surrounded.

Today, we look forward to talking about a local initiative to help food insecurity in our community.

We're sitting with Chris Mullett, the president of Garrett County Community Action, chatting with Lori Skidmore of Deep Creek Pottery, and learning more from Judy Carbone of Garrett County Community Works.

So the Art and Wine Festival, we haven't even gotten to that really, that it does support Heart for Animals.

And this is important because Heart for Animals' mission is to save the lives of homeless animals in Western Maryland and Garrett County.

We also do low and no-cost spay-neuters for our pets in our low-income community.

So this is our biggest fundraiser.

So that's, it's huge.

There's 86 tables of something.

It's one of the biggest festivals in Garrett County.

And we still need to talk about the actual tasting tables.

There's so much history tucked into the roads, towns, and mountains around Garrett County, and sometimes we drive right past it without even realizing it.

So, on a rainy day, Tracy and I decided to take a little road trip and track down some of the historical markers around Garrett County.

Come along with us as we see what we can find, share some of the stories behind the stops, and we'll link you to more info if you want to dig a little deeper.

We're kicking off a road trip to historical marker sites throughout Garrett County, starting with stop number one, Hoy Crest.

The sign marker reads, Hoy Crest is the highest point in Maryland.

Backbone Mountain, Garrett County, 3,360 feet above sea level.
