In today's episode, we'll be exploring heritage and retrofit with Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

I'm pleased to be joined with Chris Carslake, Sustainability Policy and Programme Manager with Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

Welcome Chris.

Could you start by telling us a bit about your background and experience in this space?

And yes, that then led me to think about how different organisations have impacts and at a contractor level, you think, oh, we're just doing what the client tells us to do.

And so that really inspired me to move to the client side.

And so personal circumstance led me to a local place, Letchworth, which is also Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, which we can both call the foundation from now on to make our lives easier.

And, uh, the, the garden version of the future is, in fact, more like what we know now.

If I would write, Garden Cities would be another really good example of this.

It's just that they're, they're sort of regulated and harmonized and s-to some extent utopian and better planned, but they're not drastically different from what we already know.

They're a natural development from it in the same way that next year's garden will be a natural development from this one's.
