Where's my fucking Genesis? I can't find my fucking Genesis.

I just got a fucking Game Genie and I can't find my damn Genesis.

[laughs]

That is the song I'll play at parties, you know, when I'm trying to remove myself.

Uh, seriously, think about privilege, like crazy privilege, the craziest.

It's like Game Genie privilege for those who played Nintendo growing up.

You lose the war, you sign a surrender document in the MOU, and then you get rewarded with the markets going up and prices going down, and it being viewed as the right decision.

And the only people who were railing against the MOU were your usual neocon warmonger suspects, right? Your Mark Levin, your Netanyahus, your Marco Rubios, your Brian Kilmeades on Fox.

That's always been my rule.

When I was a kid, I had an NES and a Game Genie.

And the Game Genie was kind of awesome, actually.

I don't know if you guys have ever seen the gray NES cartridge.

Well, you put the Game Genie at the end of that cartridge and then put it into the Nintendo.

So it's sort of like a game condom.

And then once you get it in there, it pops up this... i've never described the game genie that way but yeah that was crazy anyway you put this game condom on and you put it in the nes and then uh it fires up this screen with a bunch of letters and and three lines that you can put random letters on and effectively as the game's code is executed it passes through the game genie it alters the code along the way and then does things infinite lives um one life if you You name it.

It's cheat codes for games that don't have cheat codes.

I've never seen the secret levels.

no oh i can't beat them but i've watched a bit i watched video of them they're they're neat but they're definitely hard some of them are harder than others some of them are just spelling out things in in coins in japanese which i can't read but uh some of them are interesting takes on things right like underwater stages but it's the overworld map theme i think was one of them okay you know what it reminds me of it reminds me of um did you ever have a game game genie as a kid

so mario the original mario brothers was great with the game genie because you could put enter enter any random code and it would probably mess with the physics or the colors of the stages so there was always a code that would make the whole game underwater and it was fun to play those stages underwater even though they weren't meant to be that way and that's what the lost levels super secret world to remind me of they're doing weird things at the end right still hard okay

i've never seen that because so in the in the famicom version as we mentioned at the beginning you have to finish it eight times in the super nintendo version you just have to finish it uh and but i was playing the famicom version because of that all i got was a star on the title so that's all i got so i was like no no No, no, no, no, no.

Not doing it.

I mean, I'm sure Bowser's got access to all kinds of crazy stuff.
