In your race, when you are going door to door talking to people trying and you meet the undecided voters, people maybe who have voted for Matsui in the past but are interested in you, what are you hearing from them about how they're going to make their decision and what issues are top of mind in this Democrat v. Democrat race?

When I talk to voters in Elk Grove, Lodi, Galt, and El Dorado, which are the newer areas after Prop 50 passed, I hear the same issues around affordability, right? Accessing healthcare and housing.

But I think a main sentiment I've been hearing from voters, no matter your party affiliation, is really rooting out corruption out of government.

There is the sentiment really against establishment Democrats, both Republicans and Democrats, that are bought by big corporations, that they're not going to move with a sense of urgency to really protect our families and meet their needs.

Phil, good afternoon, sir.

Welcome to the conversation.

They don't care about party affiliation.

When I speak to voters in Lodi, in Galt, when I speak to voters in El Dorado and Placerville, you know, they tell me at the end of the day what they care about is making sure they can put food on the table, making sure they can fill up their gas tanks.

Um, these are the issues they care deeply about, making sure their families are housed, making sure they have access to healthcare.

And so I think what we need to do as elected officials, uh, in the halls of Congress is to center those, uh, those, those needs.

If you want someone who's gonna fight for you and your families, who's gonna show up, uh, I am your candidate.

If you want someone that does not take corporate PAC money, that responds to you and the voters, I am your candidate.

If you know what it feels like to be left behind, I often think about the rural areas or South Sacramento, Lo- Galt, Lodi, El Dorado, and the rural areas where you feel like you've been left behind by politicians, I'm your candidate because I know what it feels like to be left behind.

Um, you know, we have less, less than three weeks to go, and this is our moment to actually take on a dynasty and to have transformational change for the future.

Uh, you can also phone bank if you don't live in Congressional District 7, which is the city of Sacramento, Elk Grove, Lodi, Galt, and El Dorado.

Uh, the district has changed because of Prop 50, because, you know, we had to respond to what Trump did in Texas.

And so, uh, the district is still, you know, a Dem, uh, a Dem seat, but it's a little bit more purple.

But, you know, when I talk to voters in El Dorado, Lodi, and Galt who are Republicans and independents, they care about the same issue.

And so, but we need all hands on deck.

We are gonna be outspent, um, and it is heart and hustle to the finish line.
