Galt House

I heard him say this was at the very first gathering of the Gospel Coalition, which I think would have, I'm not the Gospel Coalition, sorry, Together for the Gospel.

And I think it was 2006 or so, that very first meeting they had in the Galt House.

And I'm sitting like on the second row.

And I remember I was sitting next to Tony Morita.

John Demling is now general manager of the Brown Hotel in Louisville, a historic property.

He spent six years climbing through general manager roles at White Lodging Services, later served as corporate director of revenue optimization for AJS Hotels, overseeing the 1,310-room Galt House Hotel, and held regional operations roles at Theralton Hospitality Management.

He has also earned honors, including the President's Council Award and the Living Vision Award.

Officials with school district credit cards racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in often insane charges that had nothing to do with educating children.

Apparently, the Galt House is quite a draw for public officials who have access to other people's monies.

So they get all this government funding, and, you know, they're in education.

They're...

[coughs] There's other hotels downtown.

[coughs] Louisville, um, the Galt House, the Marriott, the Omni, um, bunch of them are downtown, which is like six or seven miles away.

It's about a 15, 20-minute drive with traffic.

So if you wanna be, uh, you know, in the city, the big city of Louisville, you know, a lot of people, uh, stay down there as well.

So I hope you'll join us.

It's at the Galt House on Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th.

I would suggest getting into town Sunday night.

And then it's an all day event Monday, kind of like a nine to five event at the LCR Summit at the Gold House.

The Galt Hotel?

It's a cool space, but, yeah, I learned about it there.

The amount of expenditures on their for travel alone is jaw dropping.

I counted August $127,000 of travel in August with 52,000 of that at the Galt House.

And I thought maybe August is a little abnormal.

Got to about 80,000 and then I ran out of time to count because some of the presentations were going on.
