Galatasaray High School

That's closer to Taksim Square, like your listeners might know Taksim Square.

It was founded in the Galatasaray High School.

We can talk about that.

But Fenerbahçe is basically... um it was founded by you know more intellectuals like living in the ottoman empire obviously like in those years it was still the ottoman empire um and all big three clubs you know were fighting with the turkish side during the first world war and after and the aftermath uh but for fernapache in the history one of the things that we're really proud of is um We are the only team that won a game against the British teams in those days, the General Harrington Cup.

They were formed from a school, I believe.

So the Galatasaray High School is still one of the most prestigious high schools in Turkey.

It was started by French diplomats and it's still taught in French, but it's a Turkish school that is tied to the Turkish Ministry of Education.
