Peter pointed his readers to a book by Patrick Maguire and Gabriel Pogrund called Get In.

Now, Patrick and Gabriel, if you don't know who they are, uh, they, they're journalists at The Times and Sunday Times, very, very good, I mean absolutely top drawer.

Their book Get In is sort of the official, not the official, but the insider's account of how Labour won in 2024.

I remember in the book Gabriel Pogrund and I wrote about Starmer's rise to power, Get In, available in paperback in all good bookshops.

And given all the hassle that they've had about donations in the last couple of months, you would imagine, and we don't know this for sure, but you would imagine that they were incredibly careful before actually getting this stuff out into the public domain.

Although it's also worth saying that, uh, no stranger to this podcast, a journalist Gabriel Pogrund from the, from the Sunday Times was gonna report this story, and when he went to Reform going to go and report it, they then seemed to have given it to The Telegraph.

So Reform, you know, Reform chose the timing of releasing this information because a journalist was digging around on it.

So that's just a little wrinkle.

Could I just inject one note of skepticism? 'Cause I do think there's an important element to this we need to discuss, which is that it is not necessarily the case that the more money you have, the better you do.
