So in a month, I read five of them.

Loved them all, but if you're gonna do one, personally, Funny Story.

Funny Story.

That's the one I'll start with when I'm postpartum.

Anyway, if you've been hearing about her books and you wanna know where to start, the Funny Story one is personally my favorite.

I'm happy.

And then she's also, like, this workaholic, you know, that... a lot of people say like have given her that reputation but i mean but then it's just so like fulfilling seeing her actual character and and and then when you get to know her it's like that's not her at all you know what i mean and it's just it's so beautiful especially when the male main character comes in and just loves her despite of it it's just it's so beautiful and yeah i will never stop recommending emily henry because her characters and their love stories are just always so so spectacular And I have actually audiobooked pretty much all of the books that I have read by her.

I've audiobooked and I've read Funny Story, Book Lovers, Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, and Happy Place.

So yeah, and I actually think Beach Read is actually in production right now for a movie, I want to say.

So I'm very excited about it.

She is so good.

So the first one I read was, um, Happy Place, and then the second one I read was, um, Book Lovers, and now I've just started Funny Story.

So I'm really on a roll here, and then I'm going on holiday for a few days, and I'm taking Beach Read and Great Big Beautiful Life are the two with me.

So hopefully by the end of August I have completed Emily Henry.

And they did it just 48 hours before their first movie even dropped.

This brings us to the final adaptation detailed in the Movie Warp Report, which is based on Henry's most recent novel, Funny Story.

I want to hear about Funny Story because the premise sounds incredibly chaotic.

It was published very recently, right? April 23, 2024.

Yes, it's her latest release.

The timeline of this specific deal is what defines the entire current state of the industry.

On January 7, 2026, which as we noted, is exactly two days before People We Meet on Vacation even hit the platform, Netflix confirmed it had officially acquired the distribution rights to Funny Story.
