You look and the walls are porous in places.

There are small tunnels, little entryways throughout where they're emerging from.

Fungi, right? Fungi has an incredible intelligence within it that works with our body because we share 50% of our DNA with fungi.

and we're going considerably deeper than the occasional mushroom popping out of the mulch after a rainstorm.

We are going to explore edible mushrooms we can deliberately bring into our growing spaces, including winecaps, oyster mushrooms, shiitakes, portobellos, and more.

And I would say that this tension you're referring to is very, very common in sort of complex systems where we've got forces pulling against each other in order to become stronger, in order to have a greater load against possible challenges in the future.
