Fujifilm GFX series

You do need the kind of, in Canon and Nikon terminologies, you've got the holy trinity of lenses.

So I shoot the Fuji GFX system.

And I range from 23 millimeter up to 200 millimeter in lenses.

And that captures everything that I need from a kind of the big wide vista through to the intimate.

And I led a bunch of photo walks with, you know, alongside a lot of other amazing creators for that single day event.

And then I was lucky enough to also get to go to Prague last March for the GFX 100 RF launch, which was another X summit tied to a Fujikina Prague.

So this will be my third Fujikina that I've had the luck of experiencing.

But I think...

What I think is, you know, ultimately, and I've always said this, like Fujifilm cameras feel like they were made by photographers for photographers where maybe another camera in my hands feels more like a calculator.

And so I think ultimately like that ethos of the brand, it's there's just this living, breathing passion for the art of image making.

With last year's launch of GFX Eterna 55, I think even there's this passion for the craft, not only now photography.

I mean, it's obviously based in photography, but now there's this cinematography tool that's kind of available and a growing segment of the business as well.

I have still my phase one.

I have a Fuji as well, the GFX.

Primarily because that's mirrorless and I'm able to then... you know, be able to work at 100 megapixel but yet still be able to focus faster than the Phase 1.

Right? The Phase 1, honestly, doesn't do, you know, it doesn't focus well fast enough for the kind of things that I do.

So, the GFX kind of kind of fills that void and then I'm on the SL3 on the Leica I've got a whole range of you know lenses with the SL I've always been a Leica user like yourself I've had the M's I have the Q's I had the first SL I've been their ambassador for many many years now so over the years and yeah recently when the SL3 came along you know they put me in again I was the first SL1 ambassador so yeah over the years I've you know gone you know and I think I'm at a sweet spot right now I'm super happy with my SL3 super happy with the GFX yeah yeah it's just evolution yeah of course it never ends there's always something better cheaper whatever whatever but yeah for now

Yeah, I tried the SL3P recently, like a loaned me one for a week.

Right, right.

We're seeing that reflected now in the broader standings of things.

And I think GFX comes into that conversation and everything else, where it's like, wow, Fuji has gone from being a nice alternative to now being like having a seat at the big

boys table,

I think.

It does cover all types of cameras.

So...

You know, Fuji has helped by having Instax and having GFX as well as X.

It has a range of things.

Yeah.

That's another challenge, a medium format 10K back.

Yeah, this family doesn't shoot medium format.

Make a color profile that you embed in a digital camera, absolutely.

Um, no, I, I am in talks with Fuji about it, and have applied for, you know, a GFX grant, and we'll just see where it leads.

I have no idea.

But I'm really excited to give it a shot.

I have here the GFX 100 RF.

I don't own this.

So I can totally control the camera.

Um, if I want to measure light again, 'cause I move back and forth, I can just get the light meter, measure, but my camera button is now operated with the sound of my voice, right? So it's pretty interesting, right? It's a trick that I realized that came from camera scanning, because I operate the cam scanner, the SLR, with the Fuji GFX right behind here, and I just say these commands to avoid touching the camera and to avoid, um, touching the app all the time.

It looks good.
