So, we talked about Yumekojo Doki Doki Panic.

Yumekojo, or Dream Factory, was developed by Miyamoto to help promote the Fuji Television event, the Communication Carnival, with the Middle Eastern characters, and the princess became one of these playable characters.

So, just as Peach could not be a goddess and lover in Japan, in America she could not be a warrior and lover at the same time.

Each of these roles were exclusive and something the character might move between but never occupy simultaneously.

So very popular.

Then in 2000, the channel Fuji TV adapts the books into a 20 episode anime series.

And they seem to also be cribbing from the movies as well.

The Ghost Stories show ran on Fuji TV in Japan from October 22nd, 2000 to March 25th, 2001 for one season of 20 episodes.

And in 2005, ADV Films, a Texas-based anime company, got the rights to it and they produced the English dubbed version, which they call Ghost Stories.
