Now, this is the 1967 version with Peter Sellers.

So that one was kind of a comedy.

Uh, and as I pointed out, that railway line is, is about half a mile away from my house.

Um, "What's your best Bond film, and what's your best Bond car?" F- And he's put, "From Russia With Love is my favorite, and I really want a Living Daylights Aston V8 with the optional skis and rocket booster.

Darts players Anastasia Dobromyslova and James Wade both had stage or nicknames inspired by what long-running film franchise? James Bond.

Anastasia's name came from From Russia With Love, and James Wade was called 009.

Yeah, I hear that he got that nickname after he- I don't know if he won the tournament doing this, but he hit two nines in a row, so for a few games after that.

So I, I think he's retired that name.

You know, it's just like, you think about it.

From Russia with Love, now he's in that film quite a bit, but if you'll recall, he doesn't actually speak until he meets Bond in like the final 30, 40 minutes.

Now here, I think they're getting him to do the most like loud performance because it's Robert Shaw and you can do that when they're like, when they're like, Oh yeah, skip a hate Jerry's.

Obviously he's not going to like the German.

I think that was 1962.

But there's a pretty important train sequence from Russia with Love.

And that's what's right here on the list.

And we've got the Orient Express there.

Don't remember a scene in a gondola, but I remember the train.

So I'm going to lock that in with From Russia with Love.

Oh, I didn't think about it that way.

This film, I mentioned this film when we did our episode on From Russia With Love because it is very attached to that film in some ways, mainly by actors.

Yes.

And when I first read about this when we were doing that episode, I was like, this is wild.

So it's directed by Alberto DiMartino, who was a dubbing director for a really long time.

Basically, he did two things in his career.

He was a dubbing director, and he was well-known for making well-crafted knockoffs of Hollywood films, including The Antichrist, which was a knockoff of The Exorcist, Strange Shadows in an Empty Room, a knockoff of Dirty Harry, Holocaust 2000, a knockoff of The Omen, etc., etc., etc., He actually also finished another knockoff trilogy that had been started by a different director of Bond called 077, which also featured Daniela Bianchi, who was in this film, and who, of course, was the Bond girl from Russia with Love, but it was called Special Mission Lady Chaplin.

Yeah.

No and then sent to Alcatraz.

and then escaped Alcatraz, um, and then that's right before From Russia With Love, uh, and then arrested again right after Diamonds Are Forever, uh, with, you know, with the film that, uh, ended up landing him in prison all those years.

And then kind of the only thing that sort of negates this theory is Never Say Never, which is kind of dropped right in the middle of the other ones.

And he was supposed to be in prison all this time.

Because they did a bit of retconning.

You know, I think in From Russia With Love, they make sure that you know that Dr.

No was an agent of Blofeld.

And he's not really mentioned in Goldfinger, but obviously then he comes front and center in Thunderball.

In the second one, he didn't get to write the theme song, but he did write the score.

And then after that, he was always doing both.

This one's unusual because we don't get a theme song over the opening credits, which technically we sort of didn't get in From Russia With Love either.

But we'd gotten used to the idea that you would have a pop song to help sell the movie.
