Frobisher Bay

Including like two of the coldest days, I think, were...

When we were filming, we went and filmed literally on the Arctic Ocean on Frobisher Bay.

Our set location that day was a 20-minute skidoo ride in Akamutik, which is the wooden box sled that gets carried behind a snow machine.

It was a 20-minute ride on the sea ice to our location in the middle of the sea ice that we shot on for two full days, which for both those days, it was below minus 50. um so it was it really like i i always talk about how hard the show is to make um not just because it's you know like oh look at us we're so tough but i think the crew worked so hard and it'd be a massive like disservice to the the dedication and the commitment of our crew to not recognize just how hard this show is to make we're very fortunate as actors that we get warmup tents and that we can go into vehicles and we have people taking care of us to make sure that we don't get frostbite.

But to their disappointment they found that they were being turned southward, and instead of crossing the continent were descending into its heart.

Reluctantly Frobisher turned back, and after many buffetings from the storms, managed to bring part of his fleet into Frobisher Bay.

So much time had been lost that it was not safe to proceed.

Winter might surprise them in those icy wilds.

But to their disappointment they found that they were being turned southward, and instead of crossing the continent were descending into its heart.
