What prompted the transition?
38:42
Well, you know, I'm I got COVID on, to be honest with you.
38:46
I'd come back really a couple of years before COVID.
38:48
I started really, look, I'd always studied the guitar and studied the piano.
38:52
I'd been taking, you know, I've studied guitar and studied piano, basically my guitar, my entire adult life.
38:59
I started doing piano quite intensely in 2015 or 2016.

um how did you go about crafting that in as a band and what was were there any of the arrangements that i'm thinking of particularly of uh you can never tell that were difficult to come up with how did you do that

You know,
10:31
it's true.

you realize how important the audience is in any art that you make because you know you take something that you've been playing live and then you say okay we want to make this sound like we're playing it live but it's but you know so much of it like as in a play you know depends on the feedback and and so it's it's it's it's a bit of a it's a bit of a conundrum i suppose but i guess film is that way too right yeah i've been like making music video you don't you I don't really have your audience until you're done with it.
11:08
Gavin and I have made a lot of music videos together as well for most of my songs before Young Allies when I was just kind of on my own.
11:15
That's how we met, making music videos.
11:18
Film, I guess, is one medium that you don't really have your audience until you put it out.
