Friends

I think the other guys were more in tune with, "Our music means something.

We know we've really created something special here." I think it took Brian longer to really understand that, because w- when you go back to the '60s and you get to 1968 when he releases the Friends album and it's not well-received, or Smiley Smile instead of Smile and it's not well-received-

Right, right

... you know, he begins to question whether or not what he's doing ...

the chart.

So then he begins to measure himself as a man.

And so I think, you know, the Friends album was a very important album to him.

Love You was a very important album to him.

We've really created something special here.

I think it took Brian longer to really understand that because – When you go back to the 60s and you get to 1968 when he releases the Friends album and it's not well-received, or Smiley Smile instead of Smile and it's not well-received, he begins to question whether or not what he's doing...

The only thing that matters to him was music.

So if his music isn't being received well, and of course that's subjectively... by how well something does on the music chart, not versus is this really good music or not.

Right.

So then he begins to measure himself as a man.

And so I think, you know, the Friends album was a very important album to him.

Love You was a very important album to him.
