Friendly's

You were like the master of ice cream in the '80s, like and '90s.

Like, you worked at Friendly's.

You'd, you'd get off a, a shift, and it was, uh, you were the ice cream man back [laughs] in the '90s, man.

[laughs]

So around 6:45 he says he's walking into the Village Pub, where he shot pool, he says for maybe 45 minutes or so.

Sometime after 7:00 PM, he said that he and some other guys on a pool team walked to Friendly's.

This is a different bar where they're going to go shoot pool.

This was for an actual pool tournament that was scheduled for that evening.

It's amazing how much this guy does and how many hobbies he has when he doesn't have a job.

Now, there are reports from several people that are at this Friendly's bar that David Sealock was not so friendly while he was there because there's several reports of him being, one, very drunk, and two, quite pissed off.

Yeah, he was drunk in public.

I, I don't know when the aggravation or where he became obviously angry or pissed off to the other patrons of the bar, but one thing that did go down, and this is reported by several people that were at the bar that night, that David Sealock started yelling at someone on the phone.

So whenever a celebrity collabs with a venue, a product, or some other service or whatever, and they charge you like $10 more or whatever, a premium, because it's that celebrity put their name on it, Don't believe the hype.

I was talking to one of our street teamers yesterday who used to work at Friendly's.

Friendly's, not so friendly.

Remember when the Mr.

Beast burger came out when they would Mr.

Beast collab with Friendly's? All they did was take a regular Friendly's burger, smash it on the grill.

and throw it in a labeled Mr.

Beast box, and upcharge you $5 extra for the same damn meat.

Remember she had those crazy bowls she would make her cakes with? I think we got it from Friendly's, which is a

very East Coast place.

Yeah, I haven't heard of that.

Okay, so she pioneered it.

You're trying to upsell potentially.

I know like John Barrows told me a story about how he worked at, at Friendly's for an example.

Right.

And like, just like you, you learn all these cool things like, bartenders and all of these things.

Growing up on the East Coast, there's a place, there's an ice cream place.

It's called Friendly's, okay? It is very, very, very much like Culver's.

Okay.

It is the East Coast version of Culver's, right? 'Cause you can get like a, a chicken sandwich or a burger there too, whatever, but it's known for the ice cream, whereas obviously Culver- Culver's is the main thing over at Culver's.

And for a long time when I was in high school, and by a long t- I'm thinking probably, I'm guessing, a year, two years, something like that, they had this promotion at Friendly's where you could get a 12-scoop ice cream sundae called the Crowd Pleaser.

Now, initially it was the idea was, hey, like six of you have ...

You know, you're like six high school kids at a table.

It's, it, it's, it's hilarious.

Sometimes I have to be truthful.

I mean, I would rather that than have them just kind of figure it out, and then, you know, six years later they're down $100,000 and the kid is working at Friendly's, you know?

[laughs]

It's just, like, not... that's not something you wanna, like, steer someone in the direction of, you know?

Wait, Friendly's, what region of, of the country is that? I'm trying to-

Friendly's?

Yeah.

I don't know why I said Friendly's.

Those are the first things that come to mind right now.

I would probably travel through a couple of states to get to a Friendly's ice cream place.

I don't think I remember ever having it, so I would like to try it.

I would say don't bother because it's not owned by the same company.
