Freising

They simply began turning up inside Christian stories.

One of the strangest examples comes from St. Corbinian, an eighth century Christian missionary associated with Freising in Barovia- Barovia.

According to the traditional story, Corbinian was traveling to Rome when a wild bear attacked and killed his pack horse.

Corbinian then supposedly ordered the bear to take the horse's place and carry his luggage across the Alps to Rome.

Whatever we make of the legend, the bear became the enduring symbol of St. Corbinian, and eventually appeared on the coat of arms of the Diocese of Freisberg.

[laughs] A century later, the bear made it all its way to the Vatican.

Joseph Ratzinger, you know the guy that had all the sex charges against him? He had been Archbishop of Munich, and Freising before...

Excuse me.

I am 48 years old.

I'm currently living in Freising in Bavaria.

That's close to Munich airport in Germany.

And yeah, I'm an owner of a small IT company.
