Free Inquiry

I really realized that the installation of a theocracy, you know, based on Islam was going to be a disaster, and by this time, I'd al- had already left Islam behind.

And I was asked to write an article for a secular humanist magazine called Free Inquiry.

The, the article was entitled Why I'm Not a Muslim.

This came out in 1992, and, uh, soon afterwards, I asked, uh, the publisher, Prometheus Books, which, which was also founded by the same man who founded, uh, the secular humanist organization, he also founded Prometheus Books, and I asked him whether he wanted a book-length version of the article.
