JamesHOST
2:46
Actually, more interesting than the game I was at in Nottingham last Saturday, I can tell you.
JamesHOST
2:51
Um, we're gonna finish with some free hit and some wildcard drafts.
JamesHOST
2:54
I know many of you are on one or the other this week.
JamesHOST
2:56
Me and David are on neither 'cause we like red arrows.

David HunterHOST
15:12
Yeah
JamesHOST
15:12
... with these attacking guys.
JamesHOST
15:13
As I said, look, we'll do free hit and wildcard drafts at the end.
JamesHOST
15:16
I, I suspect the [chuckles] free are going in a free hit draft.
AndyHOST
8:23
Yeah
AzHOST
8:23
... maybe on a free hit, which we'll talk about in a bit, but I, I think he's too much money personally in a team.
AzHOST
8:29
Um, I just wanna ask, I mean, this is, this is the rank of, of the, of the blended model, so it's Lacroix top, Chao second, Van Hecke third.
AzHOST
8:36
He's very popular, these, these Spurs defenders still.

29 MINS LATER

AzHOST
37:13
We need to come back to that.
AndyHOST
37:14
Mm-hmm.
AzHOST
37:14
The only other thing to talk about is free hit.
AndyHOST
37:17
Mm.
FPL NightmareHOST

And so gameweek four draws ever nearer, and a big decision is plaguing my thoughts.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:10
Do I use my transfers or do I play my free hit? And I'll be honest with you, like I always am, I am struggling.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:18
I know as a content creator, I'm meant to have all the answers for you.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:22
I know that you're used to videos saying, "This is the best wildcard draft.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:26
This is the best free hit team.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:28
These are the best transfers to make." But I don't have that for you this week.
FPL NightmareHOST
0:33
I do not have the answers because I can't decide for, for myself, never mind tell you what I think you should do.
FPL NightmareHOST
1:12
And that's why I've made this video, because I need to get to where...
JamesHOST
7:38
I might be a bit too reactive with things and really don't want to be.
JamesHOST
7:41
So I think I've probably come to the conclusion I will free hit in game week four now and go heavy on Chelsea, Liverpool and attack those two fixtures.
JamesHOST
7:49
Arsenal, Palace, maybe Tottenham, a few other little bits.
JamesHOST
7:53
Brighton at Coventry as well.
JamesHOST
8:02
And Konza's probably going to be one, and it's not necessarily where I'd want to stretch the money in an urgency.
JamesHOST
8:09
The problems I need to deal with will be Maguire, Le Fay, and one of Van Dijk or O'Reilly.
JamesHOST
8:15
If I free hit in four, then I definitely don't want to get rid of O'Reilly three or five.
JamesHOST
8:19
and I'm not desperate to get rid of Van Dijk this week either so Maguire the concert and most likely move as it stands other than that I might just be rolling triple captain Harland
James SavundraHOST
31:22
Sam, I wanted to chat to you quickly about chips, because for those that are new to FPL, there are a number of chips you can play throughout the season.
James SavundraHOST
31:29
You've got Bench Boost, Free Hit, Triple Captain and Wildcard, and you've got two of those throughout the campaign.
James SavundraHOST
31:34
You need to use your, your first batch of Bench Boost, Free Hit, Triple Captain and Wildcard before the midway point in the season, ahead of the Gameweek 19 deadline.
James SavundraHOST
31:42
That's Saturday the 2nd of January 2027.
James SavundraHOST
31:47
Just with that in mind, for those that are maybe playing the game for the first time, should you have a, a rough idea about when you might want to use some of these chips?
LeonHOST
37:27
on bench boost one and I don't really like the fact that I have to load up on Brighton assets that heavily I already have Verbruggen is it's I mean it's a no-brainer right everyone's gonna have Verbruggen on the bench in game week one if you're bench boosting but I don't really think that I'm gonna have another Brighton asset other than him I've pretty much been trying to change up my draft so that on the bench I don't have too many Brighton assets because I really don't think the Aston Villa fixture is that good for for them And yes, later on, they will have good fixtures, right? Leeds and Coventry.
LeonHOST
38:00
But my strategy is to free hit in Game Week 3.
LeonHOST
38:05
And I think free hitting in Game Week 3, for me, is very attractive as a strategy, mainly because I have quite heavy investments in Arsenal and also Chelsea.
LeonHOST
38:17
right so Arsenal I'm going double defense it's a bit of a spoiler right but I have heavy Arsenal assets in my team I can lose them for that week I go for the you know the other the other teams that have particularly good fixtures in that week if you look at Liverpool they have Ipswich in game week three I could potentially get an Isak in right if he looks good you look at Aston Villa they have Hull as well I can go for a Watkins if he's looking good, like some form of an Aston Villa attacker could be something to go for there.
LeonHOST
38:49
And then I could get those Brighton assets in for leads as well.
LeonHOST
40:17
But yeah, bench boost one, pre-hit three, wildcard either in five or seven for me.
NickHOST
40:24
So I have a lot of thoughts, but I do have a kind of big macro question for you.
NickHOST
40:29
when you kind of lock in so many of your decisions so early, so specifically as well, when you do a bit like the bench, which is fine, but then you think about the free hit and then you think about the wild card, does that pigeonhole you a little bit in the sense that because you are kind of so fixated on doing those things, you lose the flexibility along the way in terms of maybe bringing some players in, bringing some players out because you're like, oh, I'm just going to wait for the wildcard or I'm going to target the free hit, right? Does that kind of restrict you, you feel?
