Very early on, and, you know, this is where I'm thinking back to our, you know, not Free Comic Book Day issue with, with Cormac, and it's kind of like, you know, this implication that ...

Not that there was necessarily something sinister there, but, like, there's some, there's more to, there's more to learn.

Yeah.

And Free Comic Book Day was always designed to be B, get people into the store.

It's an outreach event.

And see what you're doing and want to come back.

Like, so over COVID, um, everything shut down.

We didn't have Free Comic Book Day.

Nothing was good.

Um, you might recall COVID shut down.

Right

...

but I, I felt like it, uh, not having Free Comic Book Day felt bad, so I, I was like, "I'm gonna do a, a digital comic.

I'll do free pay what you want." Um, this was 2020, and what I did was I said, "Twitter, suggest a title for the next book I do.

Just, you know, having a going around either being assassinating people or just trying to survive but it actually as you read it it it does it's i mean it's it's it's called next level one shot for a reason and and it this is this is the kind of book and it's not a slight um It's not a complaint.

This is the kind of book that Free Comic Book Day was designed for.

It's kind of a zero issue of what to expect over the next couple weeks, couple months, or even this week from DC.

Because in the story, Rick Flag Jr. gives Deadshot a journal.

The Fury of Firestorm's been great.

And one of the things that Scott told us on Free Comic Book Day is... that the success of Absolute Batman and Absolute Lion in general has allowed DC to take chances with these books like Fury of Firestorm, like Doom Patrol, like Legion of Superheroes that normally wouldn't have gotten financed.

so cool.

And then, you know, I

mean, today was New Comic Book Day, of course.

That's part of why we kind of do these on Wednesday or Thursday so that we can talk comics on that end.

I spent 50 bucks at the comic shop Wednesday.
