On this episode, we are proud to present George M. Johnson and Frederick T. Joseph.

George is an award-winning black non-binary writer, author, and executive producer.

They are the best-selling author of All Boys Aren't Blue, which remains one of the most banned and challenged books in the U.S. George's acclaimed new memoir, And If I Die Before I Wake, will be released on November 10th.

This book is recommended for ages 8 to 12.

Next is Everything's Not Lost by Frederick Joseph.

Joseph offers an affirming story about a bipolar teen navigating loss.

Though black 16-year-old Ella Washington has been managing her bipolar disorder for years, she fears that the death of her older sister, Maya, will send her into a spiral.
